Shannon is a former professional cheerleader and dancer. Shannon began cheerleading as a pre-teen where she cheered through middle school and high school. Shannon continued her passion for cheerleading at North Carolina Central University where she was selected to cheer on the NCCU Eagles football team and women’s basketball.
After college, Shannon joined a professional development cheer based program and traveled to train with the best. Shannon was selected as a captain during her Rookie season as a professional cheerleader for a local hockey team. She loves the adrenaline rush of jazz funk and the sassiness of a jazz-pom routine.
With health & fitness playing a huge role in Shannon’s life, she volunteered to create high intensity interval training workout plans for her friends in her spare time while attending many aerobics classes. Now, Shannon teaches dance cardio on Mondays at 7:00PM. Dance Cardio is a dance inspired, high energy WerkOut created for all fitness and dance levels. Shannon created this unique class based off of her passion for dance and fitness. She wanted to create a calorie-torching workout that doesn’t feel like a workout & gives you the results of going to the gym. A workout where the playlist is created for you. All participants have to do is come ready to dance, burn and tone & have a great time in a safe, no judgement environment.
When Shannon isn’t creating the hottest dance moves for Dance Cardio, she enjoys binge watching Grey’s Anatomy, playing Mahjong and laughing non-stop with friends and family.
